Designing kids rooms, of all ages, is one of our most favorite kinds of projects. The freedom to be creative is endless here, and going overboard on layering color, texture and accessories is encouraged. Each corner of this space should be enlightening, bright, positive, stimulating and promote learning and expanding their little minds, but not in a kindergarten classroom kind of way, but rather in a uniquely JAC kind of way. Think bright colors, bold patterns, faux fur throws and area rugs, shelves for toys and books, plush pillows and bedding, framed art and cute lighting. Designate play and study areas so that they can fully utilizing their own special space and focus their attention. Themes are a fun way to narrow your palatte and exercise your creativity. Collaborate with your kids on this so that they can feel apart of their newly curated space.
